CTZ 10 mg

Indication

Non-sedating anti-allergy agent for symptomatic treatment of perennial allergic rhinitis, seasonal allergic rhinitis (sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal pruritus, ocular pruritus, tearing and redness of the eyes), and uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Ingredients

• Cetirizine Dihydrochloride 10 mg

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and older: 10 mg (1 tablet) once daily, depending on symptom severity. In patients with renal and hepatic impairment a dose of 5 mg once daily is recommended.

Side effects

• Somnolence/drowsiness (common).
• Dry mouth.
• Headache.
• Dizziness.
• Fatigue.
• Nausea or gastrointestinal discomfort.
• Urinary retention (rare).

Precautions

• Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any component of this drug should not take it.
