Dermosol cream 0.05%

Indication

Topical corticosteroid cream for short-term treatment of severe, resistant inflammatory skin disorders such as psoriasis, recalcitrant eczema, lichen planus and discoid lupus erythematosus, to be used under medical supervision.

Ingredients

• Clobetasol Propionate 0.5 mg per gram

Direction

Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin once or twice daily for a short period, then reduce as the condition improves. Refer to the enclosed package insert and use only as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Burning
• itching
• dryness or irritation at the application site.
• Skin atrophy
• striae
• telangiectasia
• acneiform eruptions or pigment changes with prolonged use.
• Systemic corticosteroid effects if used over extensive areas or for a long time.

Precautions

• For external use only
• avoid the eyes and mucous membranes.
• Potent topical corticosteroid
• use the smallest effective amount for the shortest time.
• Do not use on large areas
• under occlusion or on the face for prolonged periods without medical advice.
• Avoid use in infants and young children except under specialist supervision.
• Stop use and consult a doctor if irritation or allergy occurs.
