Indication

24-hour antihistamine non-drowsy anti-allergic agent for symptomatic relief of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria.

Side effects

• Somnolence/drowsiness (common).
• Dry mouth.
• Headache.
• Dizziness.
• Fatigue.
• Nausea or gastrointestinal discomfort.
• Urinary retention (rare).

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment
• dose reduction required in moderate to severe renal failure.
• Avoid concurrent use with alcohol or other CNS depressants.
• May cause drowsiness
• caution when driving or operating machinery.
• Not recommended in patients with hypersensitivity to cetirizine
• hydroxyzine
• or piperazine derivatives.
• Use with caution during pregnancy
• consult a physician.
• Not recommended for breastfeeding mothers without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
