Indication
Treatment of steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions where a superficial bacterial infection or risk of such is present.
Ingredients
- Tobramycin 0.3%
- Dexamethasone 0.1%
Direction
Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac every 4-6 hours, or as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Local discomfort
- burning
- or stinging on instillation.
- Transient blurred vision.
- Increased intraocular pressure with prolonged use.
- Risk of superinfection with prolonged use.
- Allergic reactions including lid itching and swelling (uncommon).
Precautions
- Do not use if hypersensitive to tobramycin
- other aminoglycosides
- or dexamethasone.
- Not for use with contact lenses during treatment.
- Prolonged use of corticosteroids may result in elevated intraocular pressure
- glaucoma
- or posterior subcapsular cataracts.
- Do not use in active viral
- fungal
- or mycobacterial eye infections.
- Use with caution in patients with a history of herpes simplex keratitis.
- Discontinue if hypersensitivity or irritation develops.
- Keep out of reach of children.
