TobraDex 5ml

Indication

Treatment of steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions where a superficial bacterial infection or risk of such is present.

Ingredients

• Tobramycin 0.3%
• Dexamethasone 0.1%

Direction

Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac every 4-6 hours, or as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Local discomfort
• burning
• or stinging on instillation.
• Transient blurred vision.
• Increased intraocular pressure with prolonged use.
• Risk of superinfection with prolonged use.
• Allergic reactions including lid itching and swelling (uncommon).

Precautions

• Do not use if hypersensitive to tobramycin
• other aminoglycosides
• or dexamethasone.
• Not for use with contact lenses during treatment.
• Prolonged use of corticosteroids may result in elevated intraocular pressure
• glaucoma
• or posterior subcapsular cataracts.
• Do not use in active viral
• fungal
• or mycobacterial eye infections.
• Use with caution in patients with a history of herpes simplex keratitis.
• Discontinue if hypersensitivity or irritation develops.
• Keep out of reach of children.
