Indication
Relief of the symptoms of nausea and vomiting, and dyspeptic symptoms such as epigastric fullness, bloating, early satiety, belching and heartburn associated with delayed gastric emptying.
Ingredients
- Domperidone 10 mg
Direction
For oral use. Refer to the package insert for dosage and other information. Keep out of reach of children.
Side effects
- Dry mouth.
- Headache.
- Diarrhea.
- QT interval prolongation (rare but serious).
- Elevated prolactin levels leading to galactorrhea
- gynaecomastia
- or menstrual irregularities.
- Extrapyramidal reactions (rare).
- Allergic reactions (rare).
Precautions
- Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to domperidone.
- Contraindicated in patients with known QT prolongation
- electrolyte disturbances
- or concomitant use of QT
- prolonging drugs.
- Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment.
- Contraindicated in patients with prolactin
- releasing tumors (e.g.
- prolactinoma).
- Not recommended in patients taking potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g.
- ketoconazole
- macrolide antibiotics).
- Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
- Keep out of reach of children.
