Indication

Relief of the symptoms of nausea and vomiting, and dyspeptic symptoms such as epigastric fullness, bloating, early satiety, belching and heartburn associated with delayed gastric emptying.

Ingredients

• Domperidone 10 mg

Side effects

• Dry mouth.
• Headache.
• Diarrhea.
• QT interval prolongation (rare but serious).
• Elevated prolactin levels leading to galactorrhea
• gynaecomastia
• or menstrual irregularities.
• Extrapyramidal reactions (rare).
• Allergic reactions (rare).

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to domperidone.
• Contraindicated in patients with known QT prolongation
• electrolyte disturbances
• or concomitant use of QT
• prolonging drugs.
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment.
• Contraindicated in patients with prolactin
• releasing tumors (e.g.
• prolactinoma).
• Not recommended in patients taking potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g.
• ketoconazole
• macrolide antibiotics).
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
• Keep out of reach of children.
