Geragen-DX 10ml

Indication

Treatment of steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular or auricular conditions where bacterial infection or risk of bacterial infection is present.

Ingredients

• Gentamicin sulfate 0.3%
• Dexamethasone sodium phosphate 0.05%
• Benzalkonium chloride 0.02% (preservative)

Direction

Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye or ear 3 times a day, or as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Local discomfort
• burning
• or stinging on instillation.
• Transient blurred vision.
• Increased intraocular pressure with prolonged use.
• Risk of superinfection with prolonged use.
• Allergic reactions (rare).

Precautions

• Do not use if hypersensitive to gentamicin
• other aminoglycosides
• or dexamethasone.
• Not for use with contact lenses during treatment.
• Prolonged corticosteroid use may result in elevated intraocular pressure
• glaucoma
• or cataracts.
• Do not use in active viral
• fungal
• or mycobacterial ocular infections.
• Benzalkonium chloride preservative may cause eye irritation
• avoid with soft contact lenses.
• Discontinue if hypersensitivity or irritation develops.
• Keep out of reach of children.
