Indication
Combination therapy for gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) with motility disorders. Relieves symptoms of acid reflux, heartburn, bloating, and functional dyspepsia.
Ingredients
- Rabeprazole Sodium 20 mg
- Levosulpiride 75 mg
Direction
As directed by the physician. Read the leaflet before use.
Side effects
- Rabeprazole component: headache
- diarrhea
- nausea
- abdominal pain
- flatulence.
- Levosulpiride component: extrapyramidal symptoms (tremor
- rigidity
- akathisia)
- hyperprolactinaemia
- galactorrhoea
- amenorrhoea.
- Less common: drowsiness
- dizziness
- restlessness.
- Rare: tardive dyskinesia with long
- term use of levosulpiride.
Precautions
- Not recommended in patients hypersensitive to rabeprazole
- levosulpiride
- or benzimidazoles.
- Levosulpiride is a dopamine antagonist
- caution in patients with Parkinson's disease or prolactin
- dependent tumors.
- Avoid in patients with gastrointestinal obstruction
- hemorrhage
- or perforation.
- Caution in patients with cardiac arrhythmias or QT prolongation
- levosulpiride may prolong QT interval.
- Exclude gastric malignancy before starting treatment.
- Long
- term PPI use may lead to hypomagnesaemia and vitamin B12 deficiency.
- Caution in renal and hepatic impairment.
- May interact with drugs that prolong QT interval (e.g.
- antipsychotics
- antiarrhythmics).
- Keep out of reach of children.
