Rabehin-L 20 mg / 75 mg

Indication

Combination therapy for gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) with motility disorders. Relieves symptoms of acid reflux, heartburn, bloating, and functional dyspepsia.

Ingredients

• Rabeprazole Sodium 20 mg
• Levosulpiride 75 mg

Side effects

• Rabeprazole component: headache
• diarrhea
• nausea
• abdominal pain
• flatulence.
• Levosulpiride component: extrapyramidal symptoms (tremor
• rigidity
• akathisia)
• hyperprolactinaemia
• galactorrhoea
• amenorrhoea.
• Less common: drowsiness
• dizziness
• restlessness.
• Rare: tardive dyskinesia with long
• term use of levosulpiride.

Precautions

• Not recommended in patients hypersensitive to rabeprazole
• levosulpiride
• or benzimidazoles.
• Levosulpiride is a dopamine antagonist
• caution in patients with Parkinson's disease or prolactin
• dependent tumors.
• Avoid in patients with gastrointestinal obstruction
• hemorrhage
• or perforation.
• Caution in patients with cardiac arrhythmias or QT prolongation
• levosulpiride may prolong QT interval.
• Exclude gastric malignancy before starting treatment.
• Long
• term PPI use may lead to hypomagnesaemia and vitamin B12 deficiency.
• Caution in renal and hepatic impairment.
• May interact with drugs that prolong QT interval (e.g.
• antipsychotics
• antiarrhythmics).
• Keep out of reach of children.
