Indication

Antacid and anti-flatulent. Relieves hyperacidity, heartburn, acid indigestion, and bloating associated with excessive gas in the stomach.

Ingredients

• Aluminium Hydroxide 250 mg
• Magnesium Trisilicate 250 mg
• Simethicone 25 mg

Direction

Chew tablets thoroughly. Take as directed by the physician.

Side effects

• Aluminium hydroxide: constipation
• belching.
• Magnesium trisilicate: diarrhea with high doses.
• Simethicone: generally well tolerated
• excessive belching in rare cases.
• Rarely: hypermagnesaemia or aluminium toxicity in patients with renal impairment.

Precautions

• Aluminium
• containing antacids should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment (risk of aluminium accumulation).
• Magnesium
• containing antacids may cause hypermagnesaemia in patients with renal failure
• use with caution.
• May reduce the absorption of certain drugs if taken at the same time (e.g.
• fluoroquinolones
• tetracyclines
• iron salts
• digoxin)
• separate dosing by at least 2 hours.
• Not recommended for prolonged unsupervised use
• persistent symptoms should be investigated by a physician.
• Sodium content should be considered in patients on a low
• sodium diet.
• Keep out of reach of children.
