Mediclovir 50mg/g (5%)

Indication

Herpes simplex virus infections of the skin and herpes labialis, including initial and recurrent genital herpes.

Ingredients

• Acyclovir 50mg per gram

Direction

Apply Mediclovir Cream 5 times daily at approximately 4 hourly intervals. Treatment should be continued for 5 days. If after 5 days healing is not completed, treatment should be continued for another 5 days.

Side effects

• Mild burning or stinging at the application site.
• Itching or dryness of the skin.
• Skin rash or flaking.
• Allergic contact dermatitis (rare).
• Systemic absorption is minimal with topical use.

• Store in a light
• resistant tight container at below 30°C
• Keep out of reach of children
• Read insert paper carefully before use
