Indication

- Respiratory tract infections (e.g. otitis media, sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia) - Urinary tract infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - Bone and joint infections caused by susceptible bacteria

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin 250 mg / Clavulanic acid 31.25 mg

Direction

Dissolve the granules in water and take by mouth, dosed by body weight in children, usually every 8-12 hours. Take at the start of a meal and complete the full prescribed course.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea
• nausea and vomiting
• Skin rash or itching
• Oral or vaginal thrush (candidiasis)
• Rarely
• allergic reactions or liver enzyme changes

Precautions

• Contraindicated in penicillin or beta
• lactam allergy
• Use with caution in liver or kidney impairment
• Tell your doctor of any history of jaundice with this drug
• May reduce effectiveness of oral contraceptives
