Indication
- Relief of nasal congestion in the common cold - Nasal congestion due to allergic rhinitis - Nasal congestion due to sinusitis
Ingredients
- Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1%
Direction
For adults and children aged 7 and over, spray once into each nostril 1-3 times daily; do not exceed 6 times a day. Do not use continuously for more than 7 days.
Side effects
- Local burning
- stinging or dryness of the nose
- Sneezing
- Rebound nasal congestion with prolonged use
- Rarely
- headache
- palpitations or raised blood pressure
Precautions
- Do not use for more than 7 days to avoid rebound congestion (rhinitis medicamentosa)
- Use with caution in hypertension
- heart disease
- hyperthyroidism or diabetes
- Avoid in patients taking MAO inhibitors
- For intranasal use only
- do not share the bottle
