EPHAPEN 500,000 IU

Indication

Treatment of throat infections (tonsillitis, pharyngitis), ENT infections caused by streptococci, skin and mucous membrane infections, and prophylaxis of rheumatic fever (RAA) relapses.

Ingredients

• Phenoxymethylpenicillin potassium 500
• 000 IU

Direction

Adults and children over 8 years: 2 to 3 tablets, 3 or 4 times per day. Prophylaxis of RAA relapses: 250,000 to 500,000 IU per day. Take on an empty stomach or with food. Complete the full course of treatment.

Side effects

• Allergic reactions including rash
• urticaria
• or anaphylaxis
• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• Oral candidiasis with prolonged use
• Hypersensitivity reactions in patients with penicillin allergy

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to penicillins
• Inform your doctor of any allergies before use
• Keep out of reach of children
• Store below 30°C
• away from light and moisture
• Do not exceed the prescribed doses
• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve
