Indication

Prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency during situations with increased requirement or risk of deficiency

Ingredients

• Ascorbic acid 1 g

Direction

One ampoule per day by intravenous injection. Adults and children above 12: 500-1000 mg daily

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• or stomach discomfort with high IV doses.
• Headache or flushing.
• Kidney stones (oxalate) with very prolonged high
• dose use.
• Diarrhoea at high oral doses.
• Local pain or irritation at injection site.

Precautions

• Hypersensitivity to active substances or excipients
• Nephrolithiasis or history of nephrolithiasis
• Hyperroxaluria
• Severe renal insufficiency or renal failure
• Hemochromatosis
• Individual with sensitivity to sulphur
