COCOCLAV-625 500 mg / 125 mg

Indication

Used to treat a range of bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections (sinusitis, otitis media, tonsillitis, pneumonia), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, dental infections, and bone and joint infections caused by susceptible organisms.

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin 500 mg
• Clavulanic Acid 125 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: one tablet (625 mg) every 8 hours, or as directed by physician. Take with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Complete the full prescribed course.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• Skin rash or urticaria
• Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis in penicillin
• sensitive patients
• Hepatic dysfunction (rare)
• Candidiasis with prolonged use

Precautions

• Not for use in patients with known hypersensitivity to penicillins or cephalosporins
• Keep out of reach of children
• Store below 30°C
• protect from light and moisture
• The preparation contains penicillin
• Inform physician of all current medications
• Complete the full course of treatment
