AMPCS-500 500 mg

Indication

Used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and meningitis.

Ingredients

• Ampicillin 500 mg

Direction

Adults: 250–500 mg every 6 hours on an empty stomach, or as directed by physician. Take 30–60 minutes before meals. Complete the full prescribed course.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• Skin rash (especially in patients with mononucleosis)
• Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis
• Superinfection with prolonged use

Precautions

• Not for use in patients with known hypersensitivity to penicillins
• Keep out of reach of children
• Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place
