Indication
Treatment of essential hypertension. Reduction of cardiovascular morbidity in patients with manifest atherothrombotic cardiovascular disease or type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Ingredients
- Telmisartan 20 mg
Direction
As directed by the physician. Usual dose: 40 mg once daily. Some patients may require a dose of 80 mg.
Side effects
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Nausea
- Hyperkalemia
- Hypotension
Precautions
- Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to telmisartan
- Do not use during pregnancy
- Monitor renal function and potassium levels
