Axcel Cetirizine Syrup 5 mg/5 mL

Indication

- Seasonal allergic rhinitis - Perennial allergic rhinitis - Urticaria (hives) of allergic origin

Ingredients

• Cetirizine 5 mg/5 mL

Direction

Adults and children over 6 years: 10 mg once daily or 5 mg twice daily. Children 2-6 years: 5 mg once daily or 2.5 mg twice daily. May be taken with or without food.

Side effects

• Drowsiness or fatigue
• Dry mouth
• Headache
• Dizziness

Precautions

• Use with caution in renal impairment (dose adjustment may be needed)
• May impair ability to drive or operate machinery
• Avoid alcohol during treatment
• Consult a doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding
