Indication
- Urinary tract infections - Respiratory tract infections - Gastrointestinal infections - Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia
Ingredients
- Sulfamethoxazole 800 mg / Trimethoprim 160 mg
Direction
Take one tablet twice daily with plenty of water, as prescribed by a physician.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Skin rash
- Diarrhea
- Loss of appetite
- Rarely
- severe skin reactions
Precautions
- Contraindicated in patients allergic to sulfonamides
- Maintain adequate fluid intake
- Use with caution in kidney or liver impairment
- Avoid in severe blood disorders and folate deficiency
