Indication
- Cerebrovascular disorders such as stroke - Cognitive and memory impairment - Recovery of consciousness after head trauma or brain surgery - Supportive treatment in neurodegenerative conditions
Ingredients
- Citicoline 500 mg
Direction
Adults: 500-2000 mg per day in divided doses, or as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Generally well tolerated
- Nausea or gastrointestinal upset
- Headache or dizziness
- Insomnia
- Changes in blood pressure (rare)
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with hypertension
- Caution in pregnancy and breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor
- Inform your doctor of all other medications being taken
- Use under medical supervision in serious neurological conditions
