Indication
- Mucolytic for productive cough - Thinning of thick bronchial secretions - Acute and chronic bronchitis with excess mucus - Aids expectoration
Ingredients
- Bromhexine hydrochloride 6 mg
Direction
Adults and children over 12 years: 8-16 mg three times daily; children dosed by age. Take as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting or stomach upset
- Diarrhea or gastralgia
- Headache or dizziness
- Skin rash or urticaria (rare)
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with gastric or duodenal ulcer
- Caution in severe hepatic or renal impairment
- Do not use for more than 8
- 10 days without medical advice
- Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice
