Indication
- Mucolytic for productive cough - Thinning of thick bronchial mucus - Bronchitis and respiratory disorders with excess mucus - Aids expectoration
Ingredients
- Bromhexine hydrochloride 4 mg
Direction
Children 6-12 years: 4 mg three times daily; younger children dosed by age. Take as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting or stomach upset
- Diarrhea
- Headache or dizziness
- Skin rash or allergic reactions (rare)
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with gastric or duodenal ulcer
- Caution in severe hepatic or renal impairment
- Consult a doctor if cough persists beyond a few days
- Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice
