Carbotoux Adult 250 mg/5 mL

Indication

- Productive (loose) cough with excessive viscous mucus - Acute bronchitis and bronchopulmonary disease - Congestion of bronchial secretions

Ingredients

• Carbocisteine 250 mg/5 mL

Direction

Adults: 15 mL three times daily, taken by mouth. Reduce dose once a satisfactory response is achieved.

Side effects

• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Gastric pain (gastralgia)
• Rarely
• gastrointestinal bleeding or skin rash

Precautions

• Avoid in active peptic ulcer disease
• Use with caution in patients with a history of peptic ulceration
• Do not combine with antitussives (cough suppressants) that prevent expectoration
