Indication
- Symptomatic relief of cough, especially nighttime cough - Cough associated with bronchial mucus and mild upper-respiratory irritation
Ingredients
- Carbocisteine 100 mg + promethazine hydrochloride 2.5 mg per 5 mL
Direction
Take by mouth as directed by the physician or label; shake well before use. Dose is adjusted to age and body weight.
Side effects
- Drowsiness and sedation
- Dry mouth and constipation
- Dizziness
- Rarely
- palpitations or urinary retention
Precautions
- Causes drowsiness
- avoid driving or operating machinery
- Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants
- Not recommended in the third trimester of pregnancy or during breastfeeding
- Use with caution in children and the elderly
