AMLOCOR-10 10 mg

Indication

Used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and stable angina pectoris. Relaxes arterial smooth muscle as a calcium channel blocker, reducing peripheral vascular resistance.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine Besilate

Direction

Adults: 10 mg once daily. Starting dose may be 5 mg once daily adjusted as needed. Take with or without food.

Side effects

• Very common: peripheral oedema.
• Common: headache
• flushing
• dizziness
• fatigue
• palpitations.
• Uncommon: hypotension.
• Rare: gingival hyperplasia.
• Very rare: severe skin reactions
• hepatitis.

Precautions

• Contraindicated if allergic to amlodipine or other dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers.
• Caution in severe hepatic impairment.
• May cause peripheral oedema and vasodilatory hypotension.
• Inform doctor of all medications
• especially CYP3A4 inhibitors.
• Keep out of reach of children.
