Alaxan FR 200 mg / 325 mg

Indication

Alaxan FR (Ibuprofen 200 mg + Paracetamol 325 mg) is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain including headache, toothache, backache, menstrual cramps, muscular aches, and pain associated with the common cold. The combination provides dual-action analgesic and anti-inflammatory relief.

• Paracetamol

Direction

Adults and adolescents 12 years and over: 1 tablet every 6–8 hours as needed. Do not exceed 3 tablets in 24 hours. Take with food or milk to reduce stomach upset. Do not use for more than 3 days for fever or 5 days for pain without medical advice.

Side effects

• Nausea
• dyspepsia
• abdominal pain
• diarrhoea — common.
• Dizziness
• headache — common.
• Gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration (with prolonged use).
• Allergic reactions including rash
• urticaria (uncommon).
• Elevated liver enzymes with excessive paracetamol use (rare).
• Serious skin reactions (Stevens
• Johnson syndrome) — very rare.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to ibuprofen
• paracetamol
• aspirin
• or other NSAIDs.
• Do not use if you have active peptic ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Avoid in patients with severe renal
• hepatic
• or cardiac impairment.
• Do not take with other paracetamol
• containing or NSAID
• containing products to avoid overdose.
• Consult a doctor before use if you have asthma
• kidney disease
• liver disease
• or a bleeding disorder.
• Avoid alcohol during treatment.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
• Not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy.
• Keep out of reach of children.
