Indication

Alpha Choay (Alpha-chymotrypsin) is a proteolytic enzyme used as an anti-inflammatory and anti-oedematous agent to reduce swelling, bruising, and inflammation associated with trauma, post-operative oedema, sports injuries, sinusitis, and other inflammatory conditions.

Ingredients

• Alpha chymotrypsin

Direction

Adults: 1–2 tablets 3–4 times daily between meals, or as directed by a physician. Tablets should be dissolved under the tongue (sublingual) or swallowed whole. Continue for the duration prescribed.

Side effects

• Nausea
• gastrointestinal discomfort — uncommon.
• Allergic reactions including skin rash — rare.
• Diarrhoea — rare.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to alpha
• chymotrypsin or any proteolytic enzyme.
• Do not use in patients with blood coagulation disorders or those on anticoagulant therapy without medical supervision.
• Discontinue if allergic reactions occur.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
