Indication

Betamineo (Dexchlorpheniramine 2 mg + Betamethasone 0.25 mg) is a combination antihistamine and corticosteroid used to treat allergic conditions including allergic rhinitis, urticaria, atopic dermatitis, and hypersensitivity reactions where both antihistamine and anti-inflammatory corticosteroid effects are required.

Ingredients

• Betamethasone

Direction

Adults: 1 tablet 2–3 times daily, or as directed by a physician. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. Do not abruptly discontinue after prolonged use.

Side effects

• Sedation
• drowsiness — common.
• Dry mouth
• blurred vision — common.
• Weight gain
• increased appetite with prolonged corticosteroid use.
• Blood glucose elevation with corticosteroid use.
• Immunosuppression with long
• term use.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to dexchlorpheniramine
• betamethasone
• or other corticosteroids.
• Prolonged corticosteroid use carries risks of adrenal suppression
• Cushing's syndrome
• osteoporosis
• and increased susceptibility to infection.
• Causes sedation — do not drive or operate machinery.
• Avoid alcohol during treatment.
• Use with caution in patients with diabetes
• hypertension
• or peptic ulcer.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
