Indication
Candid-B (Clotrimazole 1% + Beclometasone Dipropionate 0.025%) cream is used for the treatment of inflammatory fungal skin infections including tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea pedis (athlete's foot), and cutaneous candidiasis where there is significant inflammation. The clotrimazole treats the fungal infection; beclometasone reduces inflammation.
Ingredients
- Clotrimazole
- Beclometasone Dipropionate
Direction
Adults: Apply a thin layer to the affected area and surrounding skin 2 times daily (morning and evening). Gently massage in. Use for 2–4 weeks for candidal infections and tinea, or as directed by a physician. Wash hands before and after application.
Side effects
- Burning
- stinging
- or itching at application site — uncommon.
- Skin atrophy
- striae with prolonged use — uncommon.
- Folliculitis
- contact dermatitis — rare.
- Adrenal suppression (with extensive application or occlusion) — rare.
Precautions
- For external use only — do not apply to eyes
- mouth
- or mucous membranes.
- Do not use on the face without medical supervision.
- Prolonged use of topical corticosteroids may cause skin atrophy
- striae
- and local immunosuppression.
- Do not use on infected wounds
- acne
- or rosacea.
- Use with caution in skin fold areas or under occlusive dressings.
- Do not use in children under 2 years without medical advice.
- Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy.
- Keep out of reach of children.
