Indication

Euginga capsules containing eucalyptol are used as a mucolytic and expectorant for the symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic bronchitis, sinusitis, and other respiratory tract conditions associated with excessive mucus production.

Ingredients

• Eucalyptol

Direction

Adults: 1 capsule (100 mg) 3 times daily with meals. Swallow whole with water. Children: use only under medical supervision.

Side effects

• Mild gastrointestinal upset (nausea
• abdominal discomfort).
• Heartburn.
• Rare: allergic reactions.

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to eucalyptol or related compounds.
• Use with caution in patients with asthma or severe liver disease.
• Keep out of reach of children — eucalyptol is toxic if ingested in large amounts by young children.
• Discontinue and seek medical advice if symptoms worsen or do not improve after 5 days.
