Indication
Efferalgan Vitamine C is an effervescent combination of paracetamol and vitamin C used for the relief of mild to moderate pain (headache, cold and flu symptoms, dental pain) and fever, with the added benefit of vitamin C supplementation.
Ingredients
- Paracetamol
- Vitamin C
Direction
Adults and children over 15 years: 1 effervescent tablet dissolved in a glass of water, every 4–6 hours as needed. Maximum 3 tablets in 24 hours. Do not exceed 3 g paracetamol daily.
Side effects
- Nausea (rare at therapeutic doses).
- Gastrointestinal upset.
- Liver toxicity with paracetamol overdose.
- Kidney stones with high
- dose vitamin C (rare).
Precautions
- Do not use with other paracetamol
- containing products.
- Avoid in patients with liver disease
- alcohol dependence
- or glucose
- 6
- phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency.
- High doses of vitamin C may cause kidney stones in susceptible individuals.
- Not recommended in children under 15 without medical advice.
- Keep out of reach of children.
