EfferalganMed 500mg

Indication

EfferalganMed 500 mg effervescent tablets are used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain (headache, toothache, muscular pain, cold and flu, menstrual pain) and fever in adults and children over 15 years.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol

Direction

Adults and children 15 years and over: 1 effervescent tablet (500 mg) dissolved in a glass of water every 4–6 hours as needed. Maximum 4 tablets (2 g) in 24 hours for routine use, or 8 tablets (4 g) under medical supervision. Do not take more than 3 consecutive days for fever.

Side effects

• Rare at therapeutic doses.
• Nausea and vomiting.
• Liver toxicity with overdose.
• Rare: severe skin reactions (Stevens
• Johnson syndrome
• toxic epidermal necrolysis).

Precautions

• Do not use with other paracetamol
• containing products — risk of hepatic overdose.
• Avoid in severe hepatic impairment and in patients with alcohol dependence.
• Chronic alcoholism: maximum 2 g paracetamol/day.
• Do not exceed recommended dose.
• Keep out of reach of children.
