Indication

Used to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain including headache, toothache, backache, muscle aches, and dysmenorrhea.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: 500–1000 mg every 4–6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 4000 mg (8 tablets of 500 mg) in 24 hours. Children 6–11 years: 250–500 mg every 4–6 hours; do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Take with water; may be taken with or without food.

Side effects

• Rare at recommended doses: nausea
• allergic skin reactions.
• Overdose: serious hepatotoxicity.

Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Avoid use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment or chronic alcohol use.
• Consult a doctor before use in patients with renal impairment.
• Overdose can cause serious liver damage
• seek medical attention immediately in case of overdose.
• Keep out of reach of children.
