Indication

Used for the relief of nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, and for the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Ingredients

• Cetirizine Hydrochloride

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: 10 mL once daily (10 mg). Children 6–11 years: 5 mL once daily (5 mg). Children 2–5 years: 2.5 mL once daily (2.5 mg). May be taken with or without food.

Side effects

• Common: somnolence
• fatigue
• dizziness
• dry mouth.
• Common: headache.
• Uncommon: agitation (particularly in young children).
• Rare: hypersensitivity reactions.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment
• dose reduction may be needed.
• May cause drowsiness
• avoid driving or operating machinery until effects are known.
• Avoid alcohol.
• Keep out of reach of children.
