Indication

Used for symptomatic relief of cold and flu in children, including fever, nasal and sinus congestion, runny nose, and sneezing.

Ingredients

• paracetamol
• phenylephrine hydrochloride
• chlorpheniramine maleate

Direction

Children 2–12 years: dose according to weight and age as directed on the product label or by a physician. Typically administered every 6–8 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Take with food or water.

Side effects

• Paracetamol: rare at recommended doses.
• Chlorpheniramine: sedation
• dry mouth
• thickened mucus secretions.
• Phenylephrine: insomnia
• irritability
• tachycardia in high doses.

Precautions

• Do not exceed recommended dose.
• Avoid concurrent use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Chlorpheniramine: may cause drowsiness.
• Phenylephrine: avoid in children with heart conditions or hypertension.
• Contraindicated with MAO inhibitors.
• Not for use in children under 2 years without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
