Deflux 10 mg

Indication

Used to relieve symptoms of nausea, vomiting, bloating, upper abdominal fullness, and regurgitation.

Ingredients

• domperidone

Direction

Adults and adolescents over 12 years weighing ≥35 kg: 10 mg up to 3 times daily before meals. Maximum 30 mg per day. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary.

Side effects

• Uncommon: dry mouth
• headache.
• Rare: QT prolongation
• ventricular arrhythmias.
• Rare: elevated prolactin (galactorrhea
• gynecomastia).
• Rare: extrapyramidal reactions.

Precautions

• Contraindicated with drugs that prolong the QT interval or strong CYP3A4 inhibitors.
• Contraindicated in prolactin
• secreting pituitary tumour.
• Contraindicated when stimulation of gastric motility could be harmful.
• Use with caution in renal or hepatic impairment.
• May cause QT prolongation and serious cardiac arrhythmias.
• Keep out of reach of children.
