Indication

Paradol (Paracetamol) is an analgesic and antipyretic used for the relief of mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, muscle pain, and for the reduction of fever.

• Paracetamol

Direction

Adults: 500–1000 mg every 4–6 hours as needed. Maximum 4000 mg per day. Children (6–12 years): 250–500 mg every 4–6 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.

Side effects

• Rarely causes side effects at recommended doses.
• Hepatotoxicity with overdose.
• Rare: allergic reactions (rash
• urticaria).
• Very rare: thrombocytopenia
• agranulocytosis.

Precautions

• Do not exceed recommended dose.
• Contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
• Avoid alcohol during treatment (increased risk of hepatotoxicity).
• Caution with concurrent use of other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Caution in patients with renal impairment.
• Keep out of reach of children.
