Tramadol P.P.M 100mg

Indication

Tramadol is a centrally acting opioid analgesic used for the treatment of moderate to moderately severe pain including post-operative pain, chronic pain conditions, and pain associated with cancer.

Ingredients

• Tramadol Chlorhydrate

Direction

Adults: 50–100 mg every 4–6 hours as needed. Maximum 400 mg/day. Slow-release formulations (100 mg): as prescribed by physician. Adjust dose based on severity of pain and patient response.

• Constipation.
• Dry mouth.
• Sweating.
• Seizures (rare

• Respiratory depression (rare

• Serotonin syndrome (rare).

Precautions

• Controlled substance — use only under medical prescription.
• Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to tramadol or opioids.
• Contraindicated in patients taking MAO inhibitors within 14 days.
• Risk of seizures
• particularly at high doses or in patients with epilepsy.
• Risk of respiratory depression
• especially in elderly patients or those with respiratory disease.
• Risk of dependence and abuse
• do not use for longer than necessary.
• Avoid in patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment.
• Not recommended in children under 12 years.
• Avoid concurrent use with CNS depressants
• alcohol
• or serotonergic drugs.
