Indication
Sivkort (Triamcinolone Acetonide 80 mg/2 mL injection) is a long-acting synthetic corticosteroid used for intra-articular or intramuscular administration to treat inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis flares, bursitis, tendinitis, allergic conditions, and dermatological disorders.
Ingredients
- Triamcinolone Acetonide
Direction
Administered by a healthcare professional only. Intra-articular: 2.5–15 mg per joint depending on joint size. Intramuscular: 40–80 mg for systemic conditions. Dose and route as directed by a physician. Shake well before use.
Side effects
- Injection site pain and swelling
- Post
- injection flare
- Elevation of blood glucose in diabetic patients
- Cushing's syndrome with repeated large doses
- Skin atrophy at injection site
- Adrenal suppression with prolonged use
Precautions
- For use by trained healthcare professionals only.
- Contraindicated in systemic fungal infections.
- Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to triamcinolone acetonide or other corticosteroids.
- Do not inject into infected joints.
- Prolonged use may cause adrenal suppression
- Cushing's syndrome
- and immunosuppression.
- Use with caution in diabetic patients (may elevate blood glucose).
- Avoid live vaccines during treatment.
- Use with caution in patients with osteoporosis
- hypertension
- or peptic ulcer disease.
- Keep out of reach of children.
