Indication
Primodil-AT (Amlodipine + Atenolol) is a fixed-dose combination antihypertensive. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker and Atenolol is a cardioselective beta-blocker. The combination is used to treat hypertension and stable angina pectoris, providing complementary mechanisms to reduce blood pressure and cardiac workload.

Side effects

Precautions
- Do not stop abruptly — may precipitate angina or rebound hypertension.
- Contraindicated in cardiogenic shock
- sick sinus syndrome
- second or third degree AV block
- uncompensated heart failure
- and severe bradycardia.
- Use with caution in diabetic patients (atenolol may mask hypoglycaemia signs).
