Indication
A combination analgesic and antipyretic suspension used for the relief of mild to moderate pain (headache, dental pain, muscular pain) and fever in children. The dual mechanism — Paracetamol (central analgesic/antipyretic) and Ibuprofen (NSAID) — provides complementary pain and fever relief.
Ingredients
- Paracetamol
- Ibuprofen
Direction
Dose is weight-based and age-specific; follow the product label or physician's instructions. Generally administered orally every 6–8 hours as needed. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Shake well before use.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal upset
- nausea
- or vomiting.
- Rare: allergic reactions
- skin rash.
- Rare: hepatotoxicity (paracetamol overdose)
- gastrointestinal bleeding (ibuprofen).
Precautions
- Do not use with other paracetamol
- or ibuprofen
- containing products.
- Avoid in patients with peptic ulcer
- gastrointestinal bleeding
- or severe renal/hepatic impairment.
- Use with caution in patients with asthma
- as NSAIDs may trigger bronchospasm.
- Do not use in the third trimester of pregnancy.
- Keep out of reach of children.
