Indication

Ketoconazole topical cream/gel is an antifungal agent used for the treatment of superficial fungal skin infections including tinea versicolor, tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), and cutaneous candidiasis.

Ingredients

• Ketoconazole

Direction

Apply once or twice daily to the affected area and surrounding skin. Continue for a few days after symptoms resolve. Avoid contact with eyes.

Side effects

• Local skin irritation
• burning
• or itching at the application site.
• Allergic contact dermatitis (rare).
• Skin dryness or erythema.

Precautions

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
• Do not use if hypersensitive to ketoconazole or other azole antifungals.
• Discontinue if skin irritation or sensitisation occurs.
• Keep out of reach of children.
