Indication

Oxymetazoline HCl 0.05% nasal spray is a topical nasal decongestant for the symptomatic relief of nasal congestion due to the common cold, sinusitis, and allergic rhinitis.

Ingredients

• Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride

Direction

Adults and children 6 years and over: 2–3 sprays into each nostril twice daily (morning and evening). Do not use for more than 3 consecutive days.

Side effects

• Burning or stinging sensation in the nose.
• Nasal dryness or irritation.
• Rebound congestion with prolonged use.
• Headache or palpitations with excessive use.

Precautions

• Do not exceed 3 consecutive days of use due to risk of rebound congestion.
• Avoid in patients with hypertension
• coronary artery disease
• hyperthyroidism
• or narrow
• angle glaucoma.
• Avoid concurrent use with MAO inhibitors.
• Not recommended in children under 6 without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
