Hirudoid Cream 14g

Indication

Hirudoid cream contains mucopolysaccharide polysulphate, a heparinoid with anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is used topically for the treatment and prevention of superficial thrombophlebitis, haematomas (bruises), and post-traumatic oedema; also used for softening and improving scars.

Ingredients

• Mucopolysaccharide polysulphate

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2–4 times daily and massage gently into the skin. For scars: apply 2–3 times daily and massage thoroughly until completely absorbed.

Side effects

• Rare: local skin irritation
• redness
• or allergic reactions.
• Rare: contact dermatitis.

Precautions

• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes
• mucous membranes
• and open wounds.
• Do not apply over broken or infected skin.
• Use with caution in patients on systemic anticoagulant therapy.
• Not for use on large open areas or for prolonged periods without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
