Novomin 50mg

Indication

Dimenhydrinate 50 mg is an antihistamine/anticholinergic drug used for the prevention and treatment of nausea, vomiting, and dizziness associated with motion sickness, and for vertigo from other causes.

Direction

Adults: 50–100 mg (1–2 tablets) taken 30 minutes before travel and repeated every 4–6 hours as needed. Maximum 400 mg in 24 hours. Children 6–12 years: 25–50 mg (half to one tablet) every 6–8 hours (max 150 mg/day). Children 2–6 years: 12.5–25 mg every 6–8 hours (max 75 mg/day).

Precautions

• May cause drowsiness
• avoid driving or operating machinery.
• Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants.
• Use with caution in patients with narrow
• angle glaucoma
• urinary retention
• prostatic hypertrophy
• or seizure disorders.
• Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to diphenhydramine or dimenhydrinate.
• Keep out of reach of children.
