Indication

Tussipax is a combination antitussive product containing Codeine and Ethylmorphine used for the symptomatic relief of dry, irritating, non-productive cough in adults.

Ingredients

• Codeine
• Ethylmorphine Chlorhydrate

Direction

Adults: take as directed by the prescribing physician; typically 1 tablet or measured dose 2–3 times daily. Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Not for use in children under 12 years.

Side effects

• Common: drowsiness
• constipation
• nausea.
• Uncommon: dizziness
• headache
• dry mouth.
• Rare: respiratory depression (especially in overdose)
• dependence.

Precautions

• Contains opioid
• class active ingredients
• risk of dependence with prolonged use.
• Do not use in children under 12 years.
• Avoid in patients with respiratory depression
• asthma
• or COPD.
• Do not combine with other CNS depressants or alcohol.
• Use with caution in elderly patients.
