Indication

Telfast 180 mg (Fexofenadine Hydrochloride) is a non-sedating second-generation antihistamine used for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) such as sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, and runny nose, and for the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Direction

Adults and adolescents 12 years and over: one 180 mg tablet once daily. Swallow whole with water. Avoid taking with fruit juice (e.g., grapefruit, orange, or apple juice) as it may reduce absorption.

Side effects

• Common: headache
• drowsiness
• dizziness
• nausea.
• Uncommon: fatigue.
• Rare: hypersensitivity reactions including rash
• urticaria
• anaphylaxis.

Precautions

• Avoid taking with fruit juices or antacids containing magnesium or aluminium as absorption is reduced.
• Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment.
• Generally non
• sedating at recommended doses
• but individual reactions may vary.
• Keep out of reach of children.
