Indication

Woods Peppermint Antitussive (Dextromethorphan + Chlorpheniramine) is a combination cough suppressant and antihistamine used for the relief of dry, irritating cough and symptoms of allergic rhinitis including runny nose and sneezing.

Ingredients

• Dextromethorphan
• Chlorpheniramine

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: follow label dosing, typically 10–15 mg dextromethorphan every 4–6 hours. Children 6–12 years: half the adult dose. Do not exceed recommended daily dose.

Side effects

• Common: drowsiness
• dry mouth
• dizziness.
• Uncommon: nausea
• constipation.
• Rare: hypersensitivity reactions.

Precautions

• Do not use with MAO inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping them.
• May cause drowsiness
• avoid driving or operating machinery.
• Avoid alcohol.
• Do not use in children under 2 years.
• Use with caution in patients with respiratory depression or asthma.
• Keep out of reach of children.
