Woods Peppermint Antitussive 7.5mg/12.5mg per 5ml

Indication

Relief of cough and associated symptoms of the common cold or upper respiratory tract infections. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough; diphenhydramine provides antihistaminic and additional antitussive effects.

Ingredients

• Dextromethorphan HBr
• Diphenhydramine HCl

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: 10 mL (containing Dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg + Diphenhydramine HCl 25 mg) every 4–6 hours, not more than 4 doses in 24 hours. Children 6–12 years: 5 mL every 4–6 hours. Children under 6 years: consult a doctor.

Precautions

• May cause drowsiness — do not drive or operate machinery.
• Do not use with MAO inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping them.
• Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants.
• Do not use in children under 2 years without medical advice.
• Use with caution in patients with asthma
• chronic bronchitis
• or respiratory depression.
• Use with caution in patients with glaucoma
• enlarged prostate
• or urinary retention.
• Keep out of reach of children.
