Indication

A corticosteroid used to treat a variety of inflammatory, allergic, rheumatic, and autoimmune conditions including asthma, severe allergic reactions, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and as immunosuppressive therapy in organ transplantation.

Ingredients

• Methylprednisolone

Direction

Adults: Dosage varies widely depending on the condition. A typical dose is 4–48 mg per day, adjusted according to clinical response. Take with or after food to reduce gastrointestinal upset. Do not stop abruptly after prolonged use — taper gradually under medical supervision.

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with systemic fungal infections.

• Avoid live vaccines during therapy.
• Use with caution in patients with diabetes
• hypertension
• peptic ulcer
• glaucoma
• or psychiatric disorders.
• Do not stop abruptly after prolonged therapy — taper dose gradually.
• May mask signs of infection.
• Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
